Activities

Regularly scheduled activities are planned on an ongoing basis. The Portland area has an abundance of artistic and cultural activities to experience, including theaters and museums. There are many local festivals and various seasonal activities going on throughout the year. Many of these activities are either free or offered at a reasonable price. Our Summer House staff encourages residents to take advantage of these outings as fun and social opportunities for us to enjoy together. We also have entertainment at home to stay connected and active, such as weekly book club, games, movies, massages by a licensed Therapist, morning strength and balance exercises, family gatherings and special occasion celebrations as a family. Some activities have a small charge to cover the cost of the activities. Such cost will be communicated to Resident and/or Financially Responsible Party in advance.

Transportation Scheduling

We provide assistance with scheduling transportation for Resident to medical/dental appointments and other activities not sponsored by Our Summer House. The cost for such transportation is the responsibility of Resident/Financially Responsible Party.
