Our Summer House
Our Summer House is a woman-owned business, created by Aquila Stanley, inspired by her childhood memories of summers gone by... and the creative spirit she found and shared with her mother and family in that special place every summer.
That special place was a treasured gift she kept in her heart. It helped create the spirit of her home, her art and design studio and became the inspiration for gift giving to friends and family.
"Our Summer House was a place to rejuvenate my heart and soul- where once a year, and once upon a time, I felt truly at home. I believe we all came away with a sense of renewal and closer to our inner-selves... with pieces of jewelry made from seashells, a new pair of flip flops, rosier cheeks, and gold streaks in our hair. It was the experience that created for me, the sense of a perfect place in the world."
Aquila had a vision to create a warm and wonderful art and design store, Our Summer House, in a sweet 1920's bungalow which would become the premier decorative arts source in downtown Albuquerque. In developing this wonderful new venue, Aquila has brought together beautiful collections from a variety of local and distant artisans- from the downtown Albuquerque neighborhoods, as well as from artists' studios in remote coasts, mountains and deserts. The store features museum-quality handcrafted fine jewelry with home and garden décor- ceramics, glassware, framed art, limited edition photographic prints, hooked pillows and rugs, French soaps, Italian-style garden urns, Tibetan brass garden chimes, intricately carved bone boxes, handmade porcelain, jewel-colored silk scarves, Santa Fe Candle Company tapers and Indonesian baskets, French lavender linen sachets, vintage and antique furniture and collectables, paintings and other fine art.
Our Summer House lives on and continues to be a place that is filled with gifts, treasures and artful inspiration - for your home - your garden - your spirit!

Aquila Stanley is a multi-talented artist and designer. Aquila's 30-year career as a creative art director and designer has been her primary focus for most of her years as an artist. Owning and operating her advertising agency, Aquila Ranieri & Company, she continues to offer clients striking identities and marketing approaches that have brought them great success. In the last 5 years, she has broadened her scope to include interior design and home décor, which she and her husband, Pat, incorporate into the homes and properties they remodel.
Aquila's greatest and most recent inspiration is her new jewelry line of limited edition and one-of-a-kind pieces for her gallery and store. Inspired by the natural beauty and power of precious and semi-precious stones and metals, Aquila's stunning jeweled creations bring her full circle to the fine artist in her.
Come Visit Us
We invite you to come to our sweet and comfortable place and wander through the sunny little entry porch- into the inviting living room filled with a magical array of art, jewelry, and decorative pieces that delight the eye, and then on to the other sitting rooms; even the bath and kitchen have wonderful, artful products. Each room in the little house displays art, jewelry, decorative items for home, garden and spirit. We are so thrilled with our collections and enjoy showing the darling little house and all its contents to our visitors, and welcome you to come and spend time with us.
